Inara's Clothes and Costumes. Misadventures in sewing, and other dangerous things. 1920’s Robe de Style. 50’s Sailor Dress. The 1950s Picnic Dress. The Floral Silk Dress. The Starry Night Skirt. This dress is made based off a dress I fell in love with from the MET Museum fashion collection. I love how it turned out, and the soft pink color. It probably took 20 – 30 hours of work, and involved many petticoats, a corset, and an under and over dress. There are three posts on the making of this dress:.

Inara's Clothes and Costumes. Misadventures in sewing, and other dangerous things. 1920’s Robe de Style. 50’s Sailor Dress. The 1950s Picnic Dress. The Floral Silk Dress. The Starry Night Skirt. The Space Princess dress was made in an effort to get rid of some of my extra fabric I had piling up. It involved a bubble skirt, fully boned bodice, and was made with sheer fabric and white cotton lining. It also involved a star hairpiece. It was done in about two days, and around 7 – 10 hours.

https://thecostumeblog.wordpress.com/2015/09/09/character-sketch-3-cersei-lannister
September 9, 2015. By The Costume Blog. Character Sketch #3 – Cersei Lannister. My third character sketch post is dedicated to Cersei Lannister from Game Of Thrones, who in my eyes can take the rightful seat on the throne as the true queen of elegant dresses. Cersei is a politically ambitious, manipulative and willful queen and a character that I have adored since season one, the sort of character you love to hate. One of the main reasons I love this character is the fact that she is nearly. Tipping The ...

September 8, 2015. September 8, 2015. By The Costume Blog. Tie Dye and Onion Skins! So I’ve spent most of Monday experimenting with Tie Dye in my 2D class for costume design, and a majority of last Friday morning experimenting with natural and organic dyes. When researching the process, there seemed to be many ways to extract the die from onion skins, however this was the easiest method for me that presented great results. I then added the fabric to soak for around 3 hours. The results were great! Share ...
