Thursday, July 07, 2005. Okay, I'm sorry, but Bono. Is the one who's infuriating. What's all this bullshit about calling Paul Martin. I mean, personally, I think what the PM is saying is logical. Bono's been going on and on ad nauseum, pushing Canada to commit 0.7% of our GDP to foreign aid 'cause right now, we only spend about 0.26%. Okay, look - - I'm not saying that we shouldn't. Do that, but what Martin said about not making any promises because he wants to commit to small increases that he knows.

I was at the subway station with my back pressed against the wall, hiding behind a pillar because I could see my freaky stalker standing a little further down the platform. Tuesday, October 07, 2003. The Wheels Go Round and Round. One floor above me, I can hear wheels slowly grinding and I can't help but think how shitty it'd be if it was something heavy and everything came crashing through the ceiling, crushing everyone on the seventh floor to death. But realistically, that sort of thing doesn't happen. There's nothing to worry about. I'm just thinking, "What if? Though, if we'd all been crushed to death, I guess I wouldn't be around to actually say that.

Monday, June 07, 2004. Do you ever feel like the universe is just screwing with you? Nothing seems to go right and as corny as this sounds, I'm actually relating to that annoying theme song from "Friends." And the thing is, I'm not about to go kill myself, so that doesn't leave all that many options. You've just got to deal with the total assness of your life. What I don't get is how some people seem to have it all and yet their lives just keep getting better. The whole job thing depresses me sometimes.

Tuesday, September 30, 2003. The More Generous Set. This morning, the train grinds to a halt and I find myself sitting there, feeling the first stabs of anxiety. I hate being late. Wednesday, April 07, 2004. Waiting For My Rocket To Come. So, file-sharing is legal in Canada. But this is kind of old news. SoI'm really jazzed about this singer named Jason Mraz. I know he's been likened to John Mayer (whom I loved long before he got all famous) and Dave Matthews, but there's a certain clarity and soothing quality to his voice that makes you smile. His stuff is definitely folksy and some of the tracks have a slight hip-hop feel, which he'll just as soon switch up into a new-jazz style.
