Death By Kitchen: H2O, Big Buck-O
http://deathbykitchen.blogspot.com/2012/02/h2o-big-buck-o.html
Sunday, February 19, 2012. H2O, Big Buck-O. DISCLAIMER: None of the following photos are ours. They are not our home. They are not representative of plumbing done by anyone I know. Water, the most powerful force on earth, destroying more dollars worth of property, every year than any other weather item, combined; I think. The man who can control water is a man that deserves honor and glory! After five years of living there, we took the plunge to make the attic space into living space. The attic event...

Friday, October 31, 2008. How Life is Measured? By the amount of "sleeps". I am now going to live as my 3 1/2 year old does, by the amount of sleeps left until something great will take place. This was the best week for "how many sleeps until? How many sleeps until the Halloween Parade? How many sleeps until daddy gets home? How many sleeps until trick-or-treat? How many sleeps until Caitlin's party at school? How many sleeps until. to be continued". It is so much fun anticipating the inevidable. Caitlin...

The Koomen Five: January 2009

Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Gettin' a Little Behind. Okay Girl Scout Cookies, broken arm, missing dog, and snow. I may be a little behind on blogging, but not low on stories. I made it to Carson's preschool open house last week. Once again I enjoyed being the parent and not the teacher. I sat there trying to figure out just how to pry his little fingertips from his carseat. Winter coat, and hat! Oh, did I mention above that the dog ran away? Four and half years here at Woodworth. That is all I can think...

The Koomen Five: Good times, quiet times...
http://koomen5.blogspot.com/2009/04/good-times-quiet-times.html
Thursday, April 30, 2009. Good times, quiet times. It has been a "quiet" couple of weeks around the Koomen house. By quiet, I don't mean noiseless, but uneventful. I did not make time to blog because it did not seem right to always blog about Carson's funny sayings, Carly's boisterous personality, Caitlin's negative attitude. Posted by The Koomen Family. The youngest are always the loudest- they have to be! Tom had a funny dream about you guys the other night! May 6, 2009 at 1:13 PM. Life is not measured...

Death By Kitchen: In the beginning was the house, it was void, without form and needed a lot of work.
http://deathbykitchen.blogspot.com/2012/02/in-beginning-was-house-it-was-void.html
Friday, February 10, 2012. In the beginning was the house, it was void, without form and needed a lot of work. Two walls had dusty blue counter top at desk height, with glorious fluorescent fixtures above as task lighting. Not really sure if this was eating space or homework space. There was an island with a butcher block top, which was nice. Icky side-by-side refrig, cooktop and double wall oven. We did pay a contractor to come in with a glue-lam beam to replace the wall that separated the kitchen space...
