It was a short lived obsession. I was haunted by a scarf made by Cozy Things. Thank goodness for Big Lots. Three dollars later and I had enough pale cream yarn to knit stripes of my very own. I banished the scarf to in The Abyss to languish and die. Ain't nobody got time to sew a six foot seam. Stuff I knit 2013.

Tuesday, March 31, 2009. My first (and only! Finally, here are some pictures of the socks I completed last Sept. I received the bamboo/wool blend year from Shannon the year before in the swap. She sent me beautiful pink Panda bamboo/wool blend sock yarn, and a pattern from Knit Picks. Knit Picks Aran braided socks. I used a size 1 bamboo needle dpn set. It. Took me almost a year to finish! I still don't know if I will. Maybe baby socks. ;). Those are beautiful and damn impressive for first socks!

Thursday, May 29, 2008. Thank You Cabled Socks. My friend and co-worker has been wonderful to me. She's helped me out with some work stuff that truly would have been miserable without her help. So, as a knitter, I decided what better way to say thank you than handknit socks? A few friends have expressed interest in the pattern, so I'll share. It's really more of a recipe though. Cabled Thank You Socks. 2 balls Regia Silk. US size 2 Needles. Cast on 64 stitches (or whatever multiple of 4 makes you happy).

Thursday, February 19, 2009. I think I've mentioned before that I bore easily. This can be a complication on "easy" projects for me. However, I have powered through, and after 2 years, I have finally finished Maggie's log cabin blanket. I love it. The colors are bright. It's soft and washable. It makes my baby happy.
