Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Stock up on apples for Rosh Hashanah! Join J-Town Saturday, Sept. 8 for apple picking at Carter Mountain Orchard in Charlottesville. We'll meet at 10:45 am at Beth Ahabah, followed by lunch at Mountain Grille at 12:30 pm We'll be picking apples from 1:15-2:45, with help from the staff to know what's ripe, and how and where to pick. Tuesday, September 25, 2012. J-Town's Sukkot Open House will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, from 6:30-8:30 pm, at the home of Rabbi Jesse Gallop and Rabbi Andrew Goodman, located in the Fan. Come join us, and through eating, drinking, and celebrating, we can take on the spirit of joy and celebration of the Sukkot Festival, the season of our rejoicing.
