Disabled Veterans Program | NEHSA

Programs & Services. Partnering with The VA Boston Healthcare System, NEHSA hosts several multi day events and some single day events for disabled service men and women. These events promote rehabilitation by instructing physically, mentally and emotionally challenged veterans in adaptive alpine skiing, snowboarding, nordic, kayaking, hand cycling, fly fishing, waterskiing and other adaptive activities and sports. Programs & Services. The Sunapee State Park Beach is home to the NEHSA kayak, paddle board and rowing programs. NEHSA offers lessons to all ages and disabilities, June through September. Taking part in summer sports provides our participants an opportunity to learn new skills, build up their physical strength and have a great time in the outdoors with friends and family members. The Boston Marathon is one of the biggest weekends for (all) runners who are blind/visually impaired (B/VI) so it is a highlight of my running calendar. It was a Diana golden race held at Gunstock Mountain in New Hampshire.
