Jul 25, 2015. After driving up the Pacific Coast of Oregon. And before going to OSCON in Portland. We took a few days to see Seattle. Jul 24, 2015. I went to OSCON. This year. Its a conference for opensource put on by OReilly. I took my 17 year old son, Caden and my 8 year old son Ryder. The first session was on Python. Python is a great language to start out with. I like Python a lot, it was the first language I used professionall after COBOL. They had a good curriculum set up for us. The Obstacle Is The Way. Jul 6, 2015. This quote isnt in the book, perhaps it was delivered too recent to make it in. But its a great quote by Nassim Nicholas Taleb. A Stoic is someone who transforms fear into prudence, pain into transformation, mistakes into initiation, and desire into undertaking. The first book on stoicism that I read was A Guide to the Good Life: The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy. The second book on stoicism that I more recently finished is called The Obstacle is the Way.

Pacific Coast Of Oregon. Jul 20, 2015. We did Florida for a week. Then we were home in Louisiana for a couple weeks. Then the whole family took a trip to the Pacific Northwest to see the coast. After flying into Portland we drove to Lincoln City. Great access to the beach, the boys saw the Pacific Ocean for the first time. We went to the Oregon Coast Aquarium. In Newport. Then we went whale watching. We saw whales come up for air but we didnt see any tails. The Pacific was choppy.

Similar to what I was doing at the end of last year I do the main exercise for more volume after the 5/3/1 set each day. This is almost like the boring but big routine in the 5/3/1 book. I continue to really focus on the neglected delts on press day. I was doing all cable work but I'm mixing it up a little bit with the medial delt db raise. The team I am on at Time Warn Cable has been doing Scala for almost a year now. 5 of us flew out to San Francisco to attend Stairway to Scala training. The training was great, I really enjoyed the style of having 2 instructors. One of them doing traditional lessons and the other one would work on the REPL. I recommend the training. Dick Wall. Are awesome instructors. The Time Warner Cable crew was pretty punchy.

For some side work I thought I'd use Java, there obviously aren't enough semi-colons in my life. I haven't touched 1.7 yet and setting it up on my Mac wasn't incredibly intuitive. I had to do more poking around to arrive at this than I wish I had to. Finding the actual download from Oracle is easy. After installing Java 1.7 from Oracle.
