We are packing up our cute little apartment in the center of the city (dare I say, the world? And movin' on up. wayyyy up. To harlem, to be exact. We were offered student housing and realise that if we add up all the downsides, it still doesn't beat out the amount of money we'll be saving with this subsidized housing. I'm turning into a new yorker. Signs you are becoming a new yorker. It takes more than 8 different sirens to go by before you perk up your head and wonder what is going on. You know which side of the street to walk on and where to cross to avoid that *smell*. A quick day trip means heading to a different state. If your building has an elevator and a washer and dryer in the basement, you are living large. an extra 500 points if you have a dishwasher. A trip to Times Square seems about as fun as a pap smear.

Not by our choice, but our landlord is moving back into this house, so we have to leave. We found a cute little place that's not too far away but it is in a different ward and a different school. Ah!
