Nonsense, nonsense, nonsense.: May 2012
http://neildenham.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Nonsense, nonsense, nonsense. The blog of Neil Denham. Wednesday, 16 May 2012. I've been through the mill this weekend. No, I literally have. Pann Mill in High Wycombe had an open day last Sunday as part of the National Mills Weekend. As I live a few minutes away, and have often tried to peer though the windows to see what is in there, I thought I would pop in. Had a good chat to the miller about the history of the Mill. Nonsense, nonsense, nonsense. The blog of Neil Denham. Wednesday, 1 January 2014. 12 New things for 2014. The ideas. Thanks for all your ideas on Facebook and Twitter, I am now going to try and pick, adapt and make sense of them. Some ideas were too expensive (Compete in a hill climb), or too time consuming (Pilgrimages), or both (Fostering a child) but thanks for making the effort. I will need some help from my Muslim friends and colleagues on the details of this one! 5 Kate suggested growing potatoes o...
Nonsense, nonsense, nonsense.: 2012 - Skeptics
http://neildenham.blogspot.com/2012/12/2012-skeptics.html
Nonsense, nonsense, nonsense. The blog of Neil Denham. Tuesday, 11 December 2012. When I moved here just about the only people (outside of work) that I knew were part of a group called Skeptics in the Pub. I have met some really great people there this year, we had our first talk ( Stevyn Colgan. I has been designated an assistant organiser, and although I have no idea what this entails I am trying to get a bit organised for next year, some more talks (a few big names have promised to help us out! Inspir...

Nonsense, nonsense, nonsense. The blog of Neil Denham. Monday, 17 December 2012. The great thing about living so near London is that you can be in a museum within an hour of leaving work. Stressful Saturday morning at work, no proble, jump on the next train and before you know it you are surrounded by objects of art, science, literature and more. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Nonsense, nonsense, nonsense. The blog of Neil Denham. Tuesday, 27 September 2011. Kop Hill Climb 2011. The cars can be best seen in the paddock, cars from 1903 to present day, road cars, race cars, concept cars. you never know what you might find next. This is like the Goodwood Revival, but on a personal level, you can meet the car owners, touch the cars, open the bonnets and generally get involved. So if you like a Talbot, a Rolls, a Ferrari, or a Mini. this is the place to come next year! But I love t...

Good times, bad times | Disjointed Tales
https://disjointedtales.wordpress.com/2013/10/21/good-times-bad-times
Running, cycling, music-loving eater. Skip to primary content. Good times, bad times. Many months ago, I embarked upon my Abingdon Marathon training programme. I set out aiming for what had evaded me at London 2011 and Liverpool 2012 – a sub-4:30 marathon. This was a target I knew I had in me; my training showed I could do it, but I’d missed out on the day. So as I sit here with a new 21 min PB of 4:23:54, why did I feel a bit disappointed yesterday? A friend gave me some great advice. As marathons a...

Running, cycling, music-loving eater. Skip to primary content. I’ll mostly be rambling on about running, cycling, the drivers that nearly kill me on the roads each week, and which records I am loving at the moment that give me a boost mid-run. A mish mash? I guess so. I’ve got a muddled mind and this blog is bound to demonstrate that perfectly. Weird really, because I am otherwise excessively organised. Anyway, however you got here, thanks for stopping by. 4 thoughts on “ About. 27/05/2011 at 5:43 PM.

I do and I don’t… | Disjointed Tales
https://disjointedtales.wordpress.com/2014/03/03/i-do-and-i-dont
Running, cycling, music-loving eater. Skip to primary content. I do and I don’t…. This weekend I made a difficult decision, one which many runners face sooner or later. I decided to withdraw from my A-race, the Manchester Marathon. The long and short of it is that I haven’t put in enough training and my body is not ready for it. I still have a bunch of niggles in my left leg. And I don’t think that my head is in the right place. The reason I’ve not put in enough training? Now I need a new plan. Short...
Why I run | Disjointed Tales
https://disjointedtales.wordpress.com/why-i-run-and-cycle-2
Running, cycling, music-loving eater. Skip to primary content. A few years ago I was basically a lazy food and wine lover. Running was something crazy people did. And my mother was one of those crazy people. She started running in her 50s and has completed a couple of marathons, many halfs and 5-10ks. She put me to shame. I couldn’t run to the end of the street. But she totally inspired me. I’ve also joined a running club, volunteered at races and taught myself to swim properly. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
The Strawberry Line | Disjointed Tales

Running, cycling, music-loving eater. Skip to primary content. I was visiting Somerset this weekend and had to cram in an 18 mile run somehow. Not very familiar with the area, and with a knack for getting lost, I was concerned and turned to Facebook for route ideas. I was advised to try the Strawberry Line from Cheddar to Yatton and back. More information and maps available from http:/ www.thestrawberryline.co.uk/d/147/Yatton to Cheddar.html. The light at the end of the tunnel. 15/09/2013 at 4:48 PM.

Hello From The Big Guy. A Blog by Neil Dempsey. Sunday, June 28, 2009. I am a rock in a stream. Every now and then someone cool floats down the stream and needs to cling on for a bit. Nonsense, nonsense, nonsense. The blog of Neil Denham. Saturday, 2 January 2016. What a year 2015 was! 2015 has been an amazing year for me, I know that I am lucky that this has been the case, the law of averages says that every year cannot be great for everyone, but 2015 has been one of the best for me! Some amazing threads have run through the year, Skeptics in the Pub has continued to be amazing, with particular highlights being Alom Shaha and Michael Marshall. Which was not so bad! Book group has kep...
