The prolific Scottish novelist, critic, and dramatist was born on the 8th of November 1891 in the village of Dunbeath, Caithness. And this house is officially recognized as the home of his early childhood until 1904 and possibly his birth place. It also has a commemorative glass etching above the front door. That influenced his novels.
