Nelson Cove in January. These pictures are from the South-East corner. We continued up from the SE corner to the road, and then along an abondoned road to saddle of the Big Hill. The next two pictures are at the creek that goes down the North side of the Big Hill, plus a picture looking down froam the Big Hill. On our way out, some pictues from the new cactus garden by Madera Point, and views from the area near the gate.

Nelson Cove in April. After Jim got back from India, he and Peter joined Nathan and Per for a trip April 9-10. We met Ort Holden to look at the road. After driving Ort back, we showed Jim and Peter the trip over to the Cat trail. Nathan and Per left Jim and Peter by the Lone Pine, and explored the trail heading left (South and East). Evaluating another home site near the base of the Small Hill. We then headed down to the Turtle Pool. Turtle Pool from North End. Turtle Pool from North End.

Nelson Cove July and August. A trip with just Per and Nathan. The river is already mostly dry. On Auguest 11-13, Peter and Tom joined Per and Nathan for a trip to the ranch, coinciding with the Perseid meteor shower.

Monday, 12 March 2012. I slapped some graphite around that outline I posted last week and here's what came out. Overall I'm pretty pleased with the results seeing that it's been such a long time since I 'dabbled' in traditional materials. Will definitely be trying out more! Used a couple of new fineline erasers during this piece made by Tombow and supplied by Cult Pens in the U.K. A link to their site. The prices are excellent and service is awesome.
