Sake Light: Major Eric Egland
http://ymarsakar.blogspot.com/2006/11/major-eric-egland.html
November 17, 2006. I was asked by Major Eric Egland to pass this excellent hope. For victory, out amongst those I know. You may or may not have read it already on blackfive.com. But if you have not, then read it, because it gives hope for victory. The response to this project has been overwhelming. Grass-roots American wisdom is amazing. Also, here is the article link again: http:/ www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/012/930jbmte.asp. Maj Eric Egland (Reserve). Links to this post:.

Sake Light: Israel is kind of dumb
http://ymarsakar.blogspot.com/2006/11/israel-is-kind-of-dumb.html
November 20, 2006. Israel is kind of dumb. Israel warned the Palis that they were going to get bombed, and instead of running away, they the Palis crowded around to human shield the Hamas guys. Then Israel pulled the plug on the strike and said they had to review. What's there to review, kill the human shields. If you want them to stop using these tactics, you MUST not allow these tactics to bear fruit for the enemy. To me, this is obvious. You want to get stuck in the situation Israel is in?

The values of science derive neither from the virtues of its members, nor from the finger-wagging codes of conduct by which every profession reminds itself to be good. They have grown out of the practice of science, because they are the inescapable conditions for its practice. JK: Actually, yes. Discuss.] Several have died of conformity in our lifetime. Subscribe in a reader. The Bulgogi Talmud: a Bestseller in. Korea? July 6, 2011 12:19 AM. The Torah is the Old Testament. The Talmud is a long, multi-volume series of rabbinic commentaries and applications of the Torah, as well as general discussions of philosophy, ethics, etc. Think of it as THE. With lots of manual links and comments spaced over a couple thousand years, plus unnoted commentary and arguments by all who study it. Subscribe in a reader. Ending al-Qaeda: The Psyop Approach. July 1, 2011 7:29 AM. Interesting bit in The American Interest:. In a September 2007 video, al-Qaeda's third-highest leader, Sheikh Abu Yahya al-Libi, published a strategy, largely based on al-Qaeda errors in Iraq, showing how the West can fight and win its "war of ideas." Why would he do this? Amplify cases of ex-jihadis who have renounced armed action;. Fabricate stories about jihadi mistakes and exaggerate actual mistakes;. This actually stri...

Smell of Freedom: May 2006

Beware: Waffling and long-windedness abounds. Friday, May 05, 2006. High Quality Movies - Back of the Napkin calculations. Discussion of Blu-ray and HD-DVD got me thinking, and I made the following back-of-the-napkin calculations:. A DVD9 disc holds roughly 9 billion bytes, 9 1000 1000 1000. Now, regular "NTSC" DVDs contain 480p content (720x480). A higher quality HDTV standard is 720p (1280x720). 1280 720 720 480 = 2.66. Or in other words, 720p content is 2. Times the size of 480p content, or 166% bigger.

Smell of Freedom: November 2005
http://smelloffreedom.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
Beware: Waffling and long-windedness abounds. Wednesday, November 23, 2005. I think I've finally done it. I no longer identify with the left side of politics any more. Not that I ever really did, but in the past it was the most natural fit for me. Not any more. I am not the smartest person in the world, nor am I always right. But at least I don't frequently state things I know to be untrue in order to smear someone whom I don't particularly like. I've had enough. The ignorance and the lies have to st...

Smell of Freedom: December 2005
http://smelloffreedom.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Beware: Waffling and long-windedness abounds. Wednesday, December 21, 2005. No News is Good News? I haven't heard much in the news about Iraq recently. I guess that must mean that things over there are going pretty well then. Just like how Afghanistan dropped off the radar as soon as the situation became tenable. I suppose time will tell. The post-election seems like a bit of an anti-climax. Which is fantastic news! Posted by Nicholas @ 12:33 AM. Links to this post. Friday, December 16, 2005. Personally ...
