http://www.neoarchaic.net/resources/grasshopper/fabtab-triangular-tiles
A pool of resources. Open or closed mesh. The distance the tab edge is offset from the edge of the mesh face. A scalar value for the width of the offset edge tab. A boolean input which specifies if edge tabs will be added at naked edges. A distance cap placed on how many tiles can stack in the y direction before resetting a new row in the x direction. This is meant to aid with layout for fabrication. A distance value specifying a gap to be placed between flattened tiles to avoid overlap. A datatree of th...

Grasshopper | neoarchaic.net
http://www.neoarchaic.net/category/grasshopper
A pool of resources. This user object component takes a list of objects and randomly distributes them into a user specified number of sets. This user object component takes an Energy Plus Weather (.epw) file path input and deconstructs the tabulated data into lists corresponding to the sample dates. Divide Curve By Proximity. This component is developed to create a more even aspect ratio for grids by creating points through iteratively sampling proximity to adjacent curves. This component uses a Latitude...

mesh+ | neoarchaic.net
http://www.neoarchaic.net/mesh
A pool of resources. DOWNLOAD AT FOOD 4 RHINO. Mesh is a set of user objects which enable a wide range of mesh editing, creation, interaction, and topology modification within Grasshopper 3d. Originally developed to expedite the creation of effects for 3d printing, the toolset has grown to focus much more on interaction and the provision of simple and robust tools for the creation of mesh geometry. This now includes the following categories. Returns, topological, geometric, and contextual mesh information.

A pool of resources. Transfer layer properties from one file to another based on layer names. This user object component takes a list of objects and randomly distributes them into a user specified number of sets. This user object component takes an Energy Plus Weather (.epw) file path input and deconstructs the tabulated data into lists corresponding to the sample dates. Divide Curve By Proximity. This set of components allows for the manipulation and creation of Rhino light objects from grasshopper.

A pool of resources. Sorting and image by R then G then B. Sorting an images by brightness. Finding the most common colors in an image. Sampling an image in vertical slices and extruding horizontally. Sampling an images in horizontal bands and extruding those bands vertically. Part of degree project research at Pratt Institute, this was a simple exploration of point proximity as part of a setup for mapping site conditions. A simple study in containing bounces in a rectangular frame.

A pool of resources. Knots, which have (t) inputs, but no other parameters. These are sources directly from Paul Bourke’s website (see below). Planar Curves, which use (t) inputs and varied (p) and (r) inputs returning planar curves. These are broken into sub categories for “open”, “closed”, “simple”, and “spiral” curve types. These conditions are of course dependent on the range of the (t) values input. GEODEX 3.0.1 User Objects. See change log for prior versions and history. INSTALLATION & PREREQU...

Caterpillar | neoarchaic.net
http://www.neoarchaic.net/caterpillar
A pool of resources. Caterpillar is currently an alpha release, as all values available have been triple checked and vetted across three sources each, the accepted source is linked to in the Conversion Table document. However these components have not gone through a complete debugging and have not been tried in all possible combinations. It is recommended that preliminary conversions are verified from in independent source before use, see Notes section for list of sources. No change log at this time.

Rhino Sun | neoarchaic.net
http://www.neoarchaic.net/resources/grasshopper/rhino-sun
A pool of resources. This series of components access the sun system in Rhino and allow for control and returning of sun parameters. There are three component types, Rhino Sun Data, which returns the sun system’s current settings, Set Sun, which uses the Latitude / Longitude and Time to set the sun and Set Sun Manual, which sets the sun’s position by Altitude and Azimuth. A date and time value using grasshopper’s format. The Latitude value in degrees. The Longitude value in degrees. Rhino 5, Grasshopper.
