A New Leadership Metric: Pride. Laquo; Previous Post. Next Post ». I’m not a big fan of most leadership metrics. There are the usual culprits such as retention rate, employee satisfaction and productivity, but I’m not sure they really reflect the art and heart of leadership. Lately, I’ve been on the look-out for a different way of defining a leader; a new way of measuring their effectiveness. Perhaps it should be. Yes, perhaps being proud should be the new leadership metric.
