Nesting in the Bluegrass: July 2014
http://nestinginthebluegrass.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Quilting Chronicles Part 2. So here is an update on my quilt progress as promised. I've been working on it, when I get some free time. My first goal was to have all the hex pieces sewn together by my birthday. Happy to say that I achieved that goal, with a couple of days to spare. I think these patterns are more subtle, and complimented the other fabrics nicely. I am happy that I switched out the red for the yellow. A tip I learned about ironing your quilted pieces, is that you do...

Nesting in the Bluegrass: May 2016

Thursday, May 26, 2016. Rug Options for your Home. Welcome back to another Inspired Home blogging series that my husband Jason Black. And co-contributing to for WLKY. This week we took a little field trip to a local company called Carpet Specialists. This greek key design is a fun mix of modern and traditional. The next designs are a little more monotone, and would work well in a more softer and neutral pallet. Both of these are great neutrals, and would make great carpet runners, or area rugs. I love th...
Nesting in the Bluegrass: Antiquing around Louisville
http://nestinginthebluegrass.blogspot.com/2016/06/antiquing-around-louisville.html
Tuesday, June 14, 2016. One of my favorite things about summer, is going to outdoor flea markets. Jason and I recently attended the Fleur De Flea Vintage Urban Market. Down on the Louisville Waterfront. It was filled with lots of great vendors, and we were able to score some great vintage pieces. We actually purchased this gray dresser, and it's available at Lulubelles. Boutique in Norton Commons. Loved this piece, and could see it being used in a mudroom, or a craft room. After all that antiquing we sto...

a vintage baby girl shower | heidionpark

Welcome to Heidi on Park. A vintage baby girl shower. October 8, 2013. The main decorations were empty vintage frames that my mom has found from various flea markets, thrift shops and estate sales. We then hung little outfits from twine strung across the middle. We placed pink tissue poms at the top for a little added touch and probably my favorite. We also hung a few tissue poms in the dining room and kitchen. Framed outfit and tissue pom. Fabric and pom cover. From Miss Martha Stewart (of course! I als...
Have You Tried Nerium? – Good Buy Belle
http://www.goodbuybelle.com/have-you-tried-nerium
Health & Fitness. Have You Tried Nerium? July 7, 2014. And boy am I glad. I’ve been using anti-aging products for almost 10 years now and I hope I’ve gotten a jump start on it. I budget enough to get high quality skincare products. I figure this isn’t an area to skimp on. But still if you read reviews there are expensive products that don’t always live up to their claims either. So basically- do you homework and know your skin type and needs. Asked me to try it I was thrilled to say yes and offer a review.

Nesting Jay
Hey you found me! May 22, 2015. May 23, 2015. The most awaited season of the year … wait, what? There’s really no spring weather in Toronto. It’s more like winter and then summer (or the cliche “There’s only 2 seasons in Toronto : Winter and Construction”.). One day it’s -10C the next day it’s 23 degrees! One day you think the trees are still dead from winter, the next day you wake up and they’ve sprouted with fresh bright green leaves! The park has the most breathtaking view of the city. I can’t g...
