small wonders: October 2014
http://small-wonders.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 02, 2014. Well now, it's been awhile now, hasn't it? Somehow, the longer I'm away the harder it is to get back to this little space. So, here are a few random photos from the past few busy months- impossible though it is to try and catch up on all the time and the adventures, but we had such wonderful time with friends and time with family (cousins are fun! small wonders: July 2013
http://small-wonders.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Perry and the boys have been busy with camps and festivals and visits with friends. Willa and I join in here and there, but are happy to be at home mostly. Dorian attended an art camp last week (a couple hours each morning,) and was so proud to pack his snack in his backpack and to head off on his own adventure (and he came home with some terrific creations to decorate our home! I stole away a few bits of time when Willa was willing to be put down to sew a little. Having a bab...

small wonders: November 2013
http://small-wonders.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 15, 2013. It seems winter has arrived. Up here in the mountains we have snow that seems to be staying. Down in the valley is comes and goes. The boys are thrilled. They could live out there in the white stuff, at least in November they could. They must have slid down the tiny hill behind our house a thousand times over the last week. Little northern boys. And inside, there has been lots of good stuff too-. Book reading (and Movember- oh my! A finished quilt,. And a really cute model,.

Monday, June 23, 2014. We celebrated our sweet baby girl's first birthday last week- oh baby girl, how can you be 1 already? We are so blessed to have this little joyful, sweet, happy little love here with us and it was a joy to celebrate her- first a day with just our family, a few small gifts and dinner outside (with her first taste of homemade ice-cream, which she liked very much! And then with a couple close friends and family with little ones- she loves her little friends! Monday, June 23, 2014.

Monday, May 05, 2014. Somehow another month has past us by- these days have been going by so quickly, full of activity and spring. Willa has started crawling in earnest now, and things got a little busier around here with all that she is able to get into and explore- though it is great fun to have a busy little one crawling around our feet again! Monday, May 05, 2014. May 06, 2014. May 07, 2014. Yes, sunny spring days make us all want to be outside all day long! May 06, 2014. May 07, 2014. May 06, 2014.

small wonders: May 2014
http://small-wonders.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 07, 2014. I have party food on the brain right now as Ari's 8th birthday party is coming up and I need to get a plan for food! Now we eat most real foods, but members of the family still avoid cow milk and wheat (to avoid sore bellies! So that is reflected in the kinds of food we choose for parties. Some healthy party foods we enjoy:. Organic popcorn (we like it with butter and nutritional yeast). Goat cheese and grain-free or rice crackers. Dips such as hummus, or olive tapanade. And I am...

small wonders: September 2013
http://small-wonders.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 15, 2013. Oh my, but it is busy these days! Homeschooling has started, but it hardly feels like autumn- the weather has been incredibly hot and summery. Getting back into our homeschooling rhythm has been wonderful, though we miss Perry when he is back at work. We started our year off with a not-back-to-school gathering of homeschoolers, and it was glorious to spend the afternoon with 18 kids splashing in the mountain stream- all thrilled to be playing together in the sunshine.

The Leathercraft Shed: Back in my Shed!
http://the-leathercraft-shed.blogspot.com/2013/02/back-in-my-shed.html
Thursday, 7 February 2013. Back in my Shed! I've had a bit of a break from my shed, mostly down to it being frozen up or just plain too cold to work in! I miss being in there, listening to my radio though, so the recent thaw was very welcome! I began work on this notebook cover back in December, but only got it finished recently. What do you think? I have also been making a start on two new Filofax-style organisers -. I love big, old trees and enjoyed carving this out freehand. The leather I used for...
