Net Art - Cory Arcangel's Clouds
Net Art - Cory Arcangel's Clouds. Wednesday, April 25, 2007. In around 2002 Cory Arcangel created a piece called Super Mario Clouds. In this work he altered the original Super Mario game cartridge to show just clouds randomly flying through the sky. He then posted an online tutorial on how to create a similar work of art on your own. There was lots of debate on whether or not this was real art or just major appropriation because he stole and altered someone else's work. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Net Art - Net Art Definition
Net Art - Net Art Definition. Wednesday, April 25, 2007. Net Art can be described simply as art that utilizes Internet as its primary medium. There are many ways to interpret this being that some things are made in real life and then posted and used on the Internet. Some things are made entirely through Internet coding languages and are of "pure" net creation. Some have a healthy mix of both. Please leave comments on what you believe to be the true definition of Net Art or if you agree with what I said.
