Monday, August 3, 2015. Mother/Daughter and Father/Son Days. I cannot believe the summer is almost over and the kiddos will be going back to school. We have had a jam packed summer, too. Last weekend we had father/son and mother/daughter day. Scott and Aaron headed out to go fishing with his friend and the miss and I went for her first pedicure. Even if you've had one of those weeks, I promise you can find at least one thing to be thankful for, no matter how big or small. This week I am thankful for. Scott and all that he does. He has been slammed at work and still makes time to hang with us. Aaron and his morning snuggles. Jillian and our girl time. Family all around us.

This has long vexed me as my son is now 3 years old and incredibly active. Many parenting websites are populated with crafting ideas, games to try and new venues to check out. These are usually large ideas requiring forethought, travel time and energy on behalf of the parent; the confluence of these things all occurring in the same weekend is unlikely.
