Monday, September 29, 2008. Lauren is going to be a great big sister. When she walked in the door of the hospital room, she asked "Is my baby in here? She tells us that we are taking good care of her baby right now, but when we get home we will just be the helpers. We're enjoying our time in the hospital with Anna, but are anxious to get home to our whole family. God truly has blessed our lives. Sunday, September 28, 2008. Sunday, November 9, 2008. This Halloween, Lauren was a fairy princess and Anna was generally displeased. Lauren's costume started as a mortal princess. However, she requested an "upgrade" (in the form of wings) after the dual influences of her friend Megan and a recent visit from the Pacifier Fairy shaped her desires. Sunday, November 9, 2008. Anna, was 6 lbs 6 ozs when she left the hospital and was 25th percentile in height and 15th percentile in weight at her one-week appointment. What a difference a month makes. On Monday, she tipped the scales at 10 lbs 4 ozs - almost 4 pounds heavier than when she was born! And moved up to the 70th percentile. We knew she was a hearty eater, but perhaps this explains why Heather has been so worn out. Don't call it a come back. Anna's been here for weeks! Laurens Letter to Santa.

Thursday, November 5, 2009. All the Freaks Come Out on Halloween. Anna Anna Bo Banna Banana Fanna Fo Famma and Ariel (the human version) prepare to go trick-or-treating. You'll notice that Anna does not have leg holes. She wasn't happy about that, so she quickly became a banana with an attitude. Lauren couldn't have been more excited to be Ariel. Saturday, November 7, 2009. This is day 4 of Anna's intensive training regimen. She told us that she was determined to walk before Veterans Day. So, we've been doing a lot of plyometrics, stretching and we've got her on the weights too. We're making some good progress, but she's still a little unstable.
