THE FINAL CONCERT OF THE SEASON IS HIGHLIGHTED BY THE PRESENTATION OF "ORQUESTA FUTURA." A SHOWCASE OF OUTSTANDING YOUNG MUSICIANS IN CONCERT WITH THE ORCHESTRA. MUSIC STUDENTS FROM ACROSS THE VALLEY, NOMINATED BY THEIR MUSIC TEACHERS , JOIN THE ORCHESTRA IN PERFORMING MUSIC SELECTED BY THE MAESTRO. THE MEMBERS OF THE ORCHESTRA ACT AS ROLE MODELS AND MENTORS IN PREPARING THE STUDENTS FOR THEIR DEBUT AS THE MUSICIANS OF THE FUTURE. 23 STUDENTS FROM 16 SCHOOLS PARTICIPATED IN "ORQUESTA FUTURA".

Conductor and Music Director, the Nevada Chamber Symphony was established as a non-profit association in the state of Nevada in 1994, and is designated 501(c)(3) by the IRS. It is governed by a volunteer board of local citizens and musicians. The orchestra made its national debut at Moscone Center in San Francisco in June of 1986 as Ambassadors of Culture for the City of Las Vegas as appointed by Mayor, Bill Briar. Between the ages of 10 - 17 who would like to perform as Guest Artists during its annual concert series, "Music with the Classic Touch." PLEASE NOTE GUITAR HAS BEEN ADDED. All concerts in the series are presented free to the public. Participants must provide their own accompanist if needed.
