I was playing a Friday night dance for 100 developmentally disabled people. Downtown Skowhegan, Maine in 1906. After three hours of playing we packed up and carried our gear from the decrepit stage. Standing around by the front door with all the gear packed and the audience gone, the guy in charge paid us. In 1967 Sampson offered the building to the City of Skowhegan.
