Wednesday, June 6, 2012. Things have been busy, not much racing, some riding. A few weeks back me and Alby did the north south trail out and back, I should say Alby did whole shebang 156 miles, I did 106 miles. Good times were had by all. Friday, January 20, 2012. Went on the Thursday night NEMBA ride to give the fat front a try. Despite the odd looks and questions from some random guy in the Park and Ride parking lot the fat front ride went pretty well. It rides a bit different, steering is a bit slower but it rolls over pretty much anything. The FF added about 5 pounds to the front of the bike it's not too noticeable except when climbing and you loose momentum it's hard to get rolling again. Other than that there's no real complaint.

Thursday, May 3, 2012. Tried to ride yesterday down at Arcadia. Couldn'y pull up on the bars to climb or lift the front end without a stabbing pain and the occasional pop click in my left shoulder. You just go fastah. Thursday, June 21, 2012. The Pitiful and the Pinnacle. The Pinnacle is one of the finer mountain bike races in New England. So fine I've done it every year since starting in 09'. This year was just like last year. Perfect weather. and again, Fathers Day. It was also like last year in that the 3 hour drive to Newport left plenty of time to reflect on daddyhood. From late October to mid-February 10lbs of unwanted weight is accrued. Ride frequency diminishes the most right around the holidays to at most 3 rides per week. And had a ball until my body started shutting down. This year conditions couldn't have been nicer. The main lot facing the water was full - and the lot on the other side of the road nearly filled. For kicks I figured I'd ride the Mukluk. It is the go-to bike this time of year. Why? Marty be riding fast bike.
