You just go fastah...: May 2012
http://youjustgofaster.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
You just go fastah. Monday, May 21, 2012. Weeping Willow 2012 race recap. What a seriously sweet race day and venue. Race entries were capped @ 400 this year - so I made sure to register a few weeks back. Good thing - the event was full one week before showtime. Had it nearer to 25). Oh what the hey. At the start - the same guys I've been moving up with for the past couple of seasons: Andy Gould. Within a few minutes I settled in behind Will C. We paced behind two other riders - which may have been a str...

You just go fastah...: June 2012
http://youjustgofaster.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
You just go fastah. Thursday, June 21, 2012. The Pitiful and the Pinnacle. The Pinnacle is one of the finer mountain bike races in New England. So fine I've done it every year since starting in 09'. This year was just like last year. Perfect weather. and again, Fathers Day. It was also like last year in that the 3 hour drive to Newport left plenty of time to reflect on daddyhood. That kind of thinking goes in two directions:. Utter joy and self loathing. See where this is going? My head just wasn't in it.

Florida Single-track – Single-Speed Slogging
https://singlespeedslog.wordpress.com/2012/06/01/florida-single-track
Riding and random things bike related. 1 June, 2012. 2 June, 2012. While casually driving around northern Florida in an RV, I decided to stay at Hanna Park. In Jacksonville, FL. The really cool thing about this park/campground, aside from the fact that it is right on the beach, is that it is surrounded by single-track. On the north side of the park was the E-Line trail. This trail likewise had a great flow to it. The major difference was that it had a few more up and downs and was slightly more t...You a...

http://youjustgofaster.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
You just go fastah. Thursday, June 30, 2011. Must have been having fun. Took a couple of days off this week and rode Sutton State Forest as recommended by John Beaupre through this Facebook group: http:/ www.facebook.com/home.php? GPS data from a fellow on MTBR.com http:/ connect.garmin.com/activity/11606743. Superb trail network - very, very well done. Pretty much New England riding at it's best. Came around one corner and BOOM! Should have put the bike in for reference. New destination to ride? It's al...

You just go fastah...: February 2012
http://youjustgofaster.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
You just go fastah. Sunday, February 19, 2012. Having done this bike racing / training thing for 3 full seasons now some distinct patterns have emerged. From late October to mid-February 10lbs of unwanted weight is accrued. Ride frequency diminishes the most right around the holidays to at most 3 rides per week. Weight starts to taper off as a direct correlation to training volume beginning in February. Weight loss hit's it's peak in April. It's October again - rinse. repeat. On Facebook - a popular ride...

You just go fastah...: October 2011
http://youjustgofaster.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
You just go fastah. Saturday, October 29, 2011. Let's do the Canton Cup CX. I had planned on a nice semi-casual ride at Harold Parker for the Wicked Ride of the East (had a sweet costume lined up too) on Sunday this weekend, but the weather forecast indicated 6-10" of snow for tonight. Some quick arrangements and BOOM! I headed out to Canton for a first "official" CX race. Every bit helps right? Most riders stuck to the the left track as it was cleaner - but I hung out on the right side. I'd rather d...

You just go fastah...: November 2011
http://youjustgofaster.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
You just go fastah. Monday, November 28, 2011. Last year when I did the EFTA " Turkey Burner. Ride few folks showed up. It was cold and drizzling. I brought the beastly 30lbs mail order SS ride. And had a ball until my body started shutting down. This year conditions couldn't have been nicer. The main lot facing the water was full - and the lot on the other side of the road nearly filled. For kicks I figured I'd ride the Mukluk. It is the go-to bike this time of year. Why? Marty be riding fast bike.

Riding and random things bike related. 4 October, 2013. Originally posted at MTBVT.com. 2013 was the 20th running of the Vermont 50 and would be the 5th time I’ve raced it. It is run as a fundraiser for Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports. 8211; a non-profit organization that provides equipment and support to help people with disabilities participate in many different sports.
