Alfred Maurice Grose, 1879-1959. Alfred M Grose was born at 342/4 Walworth Road, Newington, London in 1878. His Father was John Wellington Grose born in Padstow, Cornwall around 1840. He married Harriet in June 1867. In 1881 John was a draper employing 21 assistants, 3 boys and 4 girls. Alfred's mother Harriet was born in Upton Gray, Hampshire in1844.
