Monday, 18 May 2015. Painting in Bear Flat, Bath. Here is a painting I did shortly before my show and was still half wet hanging on the wall of the exhibition! It was painted in Bear flat (Bath) a month ago on a cold but sunny day. I was out on my bike on that day looking for somewhere to paint and what caught my eyes was the beautiful view bathed in the sun with the contrasting steep road in the foreground. Bear flat, Holloway, spring. 12"x9" oil on board. I'm very happy to be a part of it. Finally, jus...

Monday, 14 July 2014. More allotments paintings and last days of my Summer Sale. Apologies to anybody who has seen enough of my allotments paintings, because I'm not finished yet! I just can't help it, I think I have an allotment painting addiction. There are worse things in life I suppose. Monksdale road allotments - summer evening. 8"x10" oil on board. My set up towards the end. Sunset - Monksdale road allotments. 7"x10" oil on board. To finish, just a quick note to say that my Summer Sale will finish ...

Wednesday, 16 November 2011. In between two painting posts, I would like to share my sheer excitement about this little pochade box my partner's father kindly built for me! I've never been very keen on the original pochade boxes available in UK as most restrict you to a specific panel size. I got the guerilla pochade box from the US which I'm very pleased with but I was looking for a lighter option so here it is (tadaaa.):. Here is the box with a 12"x10" board. Posted by Valérie Pirlot. What a lovely box!
