The idea behind the use of PREP Funding. Programs is simple. Make capital available to those tax credit projects that are in need of short-term bridge funds. We only fund projects that have received a commitment for an allocation of tax credits (9%) or are well past their TEFRA hearings (4%). Our funds do not replace tax credit equity nor do they supplant the need for Exchange Program Funds or other permanent financing. Most clients utilize PREP Funds. Simply gets you to closing.
