A New England Flowerbed. Saturday, August 15, 2015. Said the Big Flowerbed! Every dew-drop and rain-drop had a whole heaven within it. Last week we had a good downpour. I checked the gardens afterward and some parts of them were dry as a bone right under the surface soil! We desperately need rain. This morning, I gave the big garden a soaking and hand watered the smaller ones. It's so dry that, thirty minutes later, I took these pics and many of the plants were already dry! I got a lovely Joe Pye weed.
