A hazy early autumn evening at the limestone pavement at Twisleton Scar, near Ingleton in the Yorkshire Dales. The scene was lit with the last few minutes of direct light that day, just as the sun was about to drop into a layer of autumn mist.

I'd visited this local landmark repeatedly over a week or so during a cold spell, hoping to catch some early light on Roseberry Topping but each time finding a layer of cloud sitting to the east blocking the sunrise. Eventually though, on the last visit I got the light I needed and as if to reward the waiting, a light frost and good sky arrived to finish off the shot.
