Monday, July 25, 2011. Well the end of July is near, time just zooms along! What a wonderful time we had in Ontario at the beginning of the month. Kim and I were able to visit with family and friends (to those we missed - sorry, hopefully next time! During the week and Ted's wedding was lovely. Kim returned after one week while I stayed on for an extra week at a fantastic Christian retreat, Muskoka Bible Centre on Mary's Lake, what a refreshing stay! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Sunday, April 17, 2011. Did I mention I need to post more! We continue to be challenged with the low literacy and tendency to violence here on the island. Very heart breaking issues which can from time to time be very discouraging. Your prayers for strength and wisdom in these particular areas would be most welcome. I will be in Ontario for a few days at the end of April and we will be in Ontario at the beginning of July for a wedding so would love to connect with those who can fit us in.

Sunday, August 29, 2010. So we have the results of the government requirements for 'My Friends Place' and they are not too bad. We need to install some emergency lighting and fire extinguishers. All told about $1200. Once this is complete we have a final inspection and then about two weeks after that we should have our capacity and occupancy permits and can open. Wednesday, October 14, 2009. It is a 'Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day' day outside today:) The winds are up around 110km/hr and its raining in buckets! We have also had sleet, snow and hail at different times today - so this is what a Nor' Easter is like! I was out in it earlier picking up the boxes we had put under the porch that the wind had scattered all over the yard - the rain is so strong it stings and it is definitely not safe out there for small children!
