Still Alive In The Mohawk Valley, NY: Uptown Utica, NY "Change For Better or Worse"
http://mohawkvalleyalive.blogspot.com/2008/06/uptown-utica-changed-forever.html
Thursday, June 19, 2008. Uptown Utica, NY "Change For Better or Worse". White Tower, Utica, NY (torn down mid-late 90's). The things that make an area special are often the first things given up when things get tough and the lure of immediate tax revenue outweighs long term planning and development. If any body has anything they can share w/me about him.would appreciate it) . The Uptown area screams for better. So at least we can see and then reminisce about what it used to be like. I remember the both W...

Still Alive In The Mohawk Valley, NY: 2014/12
http://mohawkvalleyalive.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 16, 2014. November a time to run, a time to climb and a time for deep introspection and brooding. New York, to that tall skyline I come. No place is more diverse from the mountains I so love, than the bustling metropolis of New York City. You cannot help but feel the energy, diversity and intensity of the big city, especially after having lived in sleepy Utica and it's burbs for so long. And my words won't make a dime's worth a difference, so here's to you New York" `Simon and Garfunkel.

Still Alive In The Mohawk Valley, NY: The Universal Language of Soccer...
http://mohawkvalleyalive.blogspot.com/2010/06/universal-language-of-soccer.html
Tuesday, June 22, 2010. The Universal Language of Soccer. My colorful U12 team includes: 2 Somali-Bantus, 1 Thai, 7 Bosnians and 5 home-grown Utica boys. Oh yeh, I was born in Japan (the Japanese are said to be the earliest players of soccer know as "Kemari" in Japan). I coach youth soccer in Utica, and I can also be found playing pick up soccer with "the boys" at Proctor or at the field on Middle Settlement Rd., when I can find the time and the energy. Wednesday, July 02, 2008. Utica Lunatic Asylum, Utica, NY. After reading about the historic homes in Rutger Park it got me thinking about the Utica Psychiatric Center Building aka NYS Lunatic Asylum, Utica State Hospital. If you are looking for an interesting way to spend a few moments, bring along a camera and be prepared to be. Along with the property. Labels: Utica Lunatic Asylum. Utica should offer a haunted sleep over tour to raise some tourism dollars. Hey, seriously they do it in other places ...

Still Alive In The Mohawk Valley, NY: Grace Church A Downtown Utica landmark, Utica, NY
http://mohawkvalleyalive.blogspot.com/2008/07/grace-church-utica-ny.html
Tuesday, July 08, 2008. Grace Church A Downtown Utica landmark, Utica, NY. Built around 1860 with money donated by prominent Utican Alfred Munson, Grace Church stands as a testament of the proud and prosperous past of Utica. Designed by architect. Richard Upjohn this building is a must see for those interested in historical architecture. The interior is a little dark but beautifully crafted. And if you can go when the organ and the music are playing it is really quite remarkable. Like Us on Pinterest.
