Welcome to the New Inn Wedmore 01934 712099. Serving fine ales since 1850ish. The New Inn was originally part of a row of cottages in Combe Batch, and is thought to have been opened sometime in the late 1840s by the Parker family. It was ‘new’ compared to the other two drinking establishments in the village, and hence the name. It all kicks off in 1885. We are delighted, dumb-struck and utterly chuffed to announce that our illustrious darts team, the New Swans, were victorious this week in the local region’s most prestigious competition, fending off the competitors The Strawberry in the final. It was a fantastic night, with our lads finishing a 501 in a smooth 17 dart run. We kid you not. Not only that, but this is the second year running. That we’ve won!
