Ambo's Blog of Thoughts. Sunday, February 24, 2008. So, latest updates since my last post. Mom came to my rescue and stayed with us from Feb 7 th. Paper to write. This will all be over the week of March 17 th. Then we fly to New York for the AERA. Conference March 22-29 and I head to Atlanta for another conference March 29-April 2. I'm doing this because I'm such an avid reader of Dear Abby and sometimes people send in letters where I wonder "what would Dear Abby. Want to say to this writer? The shock of my brother-in-law's infidelity is painful enough, but the insensitivity of these family members is unbelievable. Are those people ignorant or just plain evil? HURTING FOR MY SISTER".

Ambo's Blog of Thoughts. Monday, April 13, 2009. On March 24, 2009 in Jamaica, John officially proposed to Amber. We were attending the wedding of our dear friends, Sarah and Jeremiah. John had a surprise for Amber. he intended to formally propose on the trip and had brought the ring all the way to Jamaica. John presented Amber with the most beautiful ring. Of course she said "Yes! And said it about a thousand times! The whole event brought Amber to tears as she was so overwhelmed with joy.

A Vermont in the South. Observed moments in time. Sunday, November 29. B/C in SC guns were tax free). I DID NOT expect to share my Thanksgiving dinner with the stinkbugs however! There I was sitting at the dinner table enjoying my turkey dinner and headed down the road to a food coma, when out of the corner of my eye I see this gray insect crawling along the table cloth below my mounds of food on my plate! Let's hope next year it's just guns on Thanksgiving, not bugs! This makes me look really bad.

The point is, I'm going to 'Bama this weekend to watch the USC beat Alabama (I know, in my dreams, cuz 'Bama is having a great season so far). So I'm going to watch the game in Alabama. on TV.
