Is about 12-18 MONTHS . By the time that we receive your complete dossier in Haiti, it takes us about 30 days or less to give you a referral for a child who is 2 years old and up. Give you a referral, we must receive your complete dossier from our partner HAGUE - IBESR approved adoption agency. You receive the picture of your child, the date that we receive your notice of acceptance is your date of referral. Keep in mind that the sooner that your child is ready to go, the better it is for all of us.

The children of New Life Link and Hope for the Children of Haiti benefit greatly from the presence of an American volunteer. The one-on-one attention and the special skills that volunteers offer bring much life and joy to the orphanage. Likewise, volunteers themselves are deeply affected by the relationships with the children and by the experience of living in Haiti. Saying good-bye at the end of a stay is usually the hardest part.
