Tuesday, July 21, 2015. We had a great time with our Regional convention in Budapest, then in Vienna for the english regional convention. The biggest news though is that after almost 7 years in Hungary we will be leaving for Slovakia from September 1. There is a big Hungarian speaking population in southern Slovakia and it is having good growth at the moment, so we're looking forward to moving there soon. Saturday, November 8, 2014. Eastern Hungary and Romania. In June we had an opportunity to visit Eastern Hungary with mum and dad and see friends in Berettyóújfalu which is near the Romanian border. So naturally we had a day trip over there too. The eastern side is very flat - the Great Plain or Puszta. Eastern Hungary = Flat. Great Bustard, captive. Thursday, June 6, 2013. Flooding in Eastern Europe. Just to let you know we're preparing for the floods sweeping through Europe. The branch called our CO and he's coordinating the Disaster Preparedness plan. We have a few brothers in our cong who will be affected living right on the Danube waterfront. The branch is keen for us to be seen taking a lead as an organisation in civil defence/disaster relief, so we're scheduling when brothers can go and help out with building dams from sandbags.

Thursday, July 24, 2014. We leave this morning for our convention. First stop Canada. Lesley hasn't been home for four years, so it will be a lot of catching up.
