Turn Out That Turn Out!! | The Legal Ballerina
https://legalballerina.wordpress.com/2014/07/09/turn-out-that-turn-out
The unique experience of learning ballet in my 30's! Turn Out That Turn Out! Summer session has officially begun and while the class was good overall one thing pestered me the entire class – my freaking turn out. Now, some people have told me that my turn out is fine, even heard the word “good” flung around once or twice. Regardless of the intermittent compliments, I still loathe my turn out. Question: Is LB a quitter? Answer: Ahhh dahhhhhh. No! Who is that lady? Just for the record, LB is a maniacal (an...

Hopefully the Baby Won't.). August 14, 2014. Judging My Friend’s Scheduled C-Section. I truly hate the word “judgment.” It seems to have such a negative connotation these days — as in “don’t judge me” or “judgment-free zone.” Can we just admit that we ALL have opinions, but it’s basic common sense and good breeding not to immediately voice those opinions? 8212; I’ll admit I cringed. Hopefully the Baby Won't.). August 7, 2014. We’re all getting ready around here. In my middle-of-the-night thoughts, I’ve been careening back and forth between. Six weeks is so far away! Six weeks is way too close for comfort! The good news is that the baby’s room is finished. The grungy futon is gone, the beautiful blackout curtains are hung (thanks, Mom! And the dresser and changing table have been assembled (thanks, Dad! The only thing I don’t feel. Been there, done that! Next post →. You are commenti...

Hopefully the Baby Won't.). July 18, 2014. Still hanging in there — about 60 days to go (or maybe 40 like last time? My emotional state ranges from being excited and impatient for Louise’s arrival to crabby and anxious about the upheaval we’re about to experience. Just dumb things like, how am I going to get both my son and the baby ready in the mornings? Will my husband be willing to drive Griffin to daycare on his way to work while I stay home with the baby? How much and what hours will the baby sleep?

Hopefully the Baby Won't.). August 28, 2014. Inversions and Name Changes. It’s Week 37 and there’s barely anything new to report except that the baby’s clothes are all washed and folded and (surprise! I am not going to be one of those completely disingenuous people who say, OH GEE, CAN’T BELIEVE I’M THIS FAR ALONG ALREADY, THE TIME HAS JUST WHIZZED ON BY! Because it hasn’t. I feel like I’ve been pregnant for fucking ever. But yeah, if it’ll help me avoid a C-section, then fine. Next post →. I agree with ...

Hopefully the Baby Won't.). Are We There Yet? July 9, 2014. Oh, and I also caved and got the Dreaded Double Stroller yesterday, since it was on sale at Babies R Us. Gee, I can’t wait to start folding and unfolding that unwieldy hunk of plastic, hauling it in and out of the car, and trying to strap two wriggling, crying kids into it — said no one ever. But it does serve its purpose…. July 2, 2014. Is complete intolerance of nearly everyone around me a pregnancy symptom? Tick Tock, Tick Tock. June 30, 2014.
