June 7, 2015. Woken by the hum of a mosquito in her ear. 4:15 am and the sun is casting early light around the edges of the mountains. With bleary eyes she gazes out over a calm lake. Like glass reflecting the sky and green trees nature comes into focus. It is too early to be gazing and searching for peace. Mantras spin through her mind. Fly, brother, fly. February 28, 2015. He took his last breath. Exhaling… miraculously he was free. Leaving suffering and pain behind him. His soul gently climbed up the starlit stairway… away. He left a trail of light and love in his wake. That love-light rained steadily down upon us. Soaking into our grief-filled hearts. Allowing us to know, we are still one. July 22, 2015. Grey clouds float through a pale blue sky. Over a lake, gentle mountains raising up. As I watch, I certainly know. You breathed this same oxygen. Through splintered rays of light. Shining down through a deep, green forest. Remember, remembering you. Shining in those golden beams. Those gentle summer breezes. Touching my skin lightly. I can’t forget, forgetting. This moment of peace and ease. This is a better way to recall you. Better than those nighttime recollections. The House of Love.

Her little blue eyes darted from her mother to me repeatedly as tears built up and dropped onto her cheeks. I smiled at her and set my equipment down on the counter. Her little chin quivered with fear as she struggled to compose herself. Thursday, December 17, 2009. Live and learn folks. The one bright part of your day may not be the smartest. I was quietly advised by a caring coworker that my Top 10 list of previous posts was unwise. I never remember that 1- anything on the Internet can be read by anyone 2- People are jerks. I certainly didn't get in trouble, but I want to preempt that, if at all possible. Most people at work thought it was funny. But you never know. And safe is smart. What a downer. I didn't think it was that bad.
