Instead of paying tribute to these heroes for a single day and then quickly forget about them and their contributions; it seems Bermuda could find better ways to honour those that have greatly contributed to this island. Archive for January, 2010. Cost Cutting on Education. January 15, 2010. I was going to make a comment on yesterday’s RG article to close five primary schools. But the day just escaped me. Today’s headline. Says it all “School closures a cost-cutting measure”. If this is any insight into this years budget and how in debt we actually are it’s scary! A Question of Leadership | Bermuda Independent

Mainly Bermuda politics and economics. Smart politics or a blink? 2014 in review →. A Question of Leadership. November 12, 2014. An interesting take on the leadership of the PLP. OBA and PLP Incompetence. By all accounts, the OBA should not be the Government of Bermuda today. That it remains the Government, that it has survived the crises it has, is not a testament to the resilience of the OBA but rather the incompetence of the Opposition PLP. And this must invariably lead to a question of leadership.

Mainly Bermuda politics and economics. Newer posts →. Not a new blog, but a new discovery. August 14, 2014. Thanks to Jeremy Deacon at Bermuda Blue, I’ve just spent more time than I should have looking at Tucker’s Farm’s blog. Which is a wonderful and slightly wacky blog on the joys of raising goats and making goat cheese in Bermuda. More than that, it’s a reflection on life in Bermuda – and well worth the read. Party Switch | bermudashorts
https://bermudashorts.wordpress.com/2010/11/17/party-switch
November 17, 2010. Posted by bermudashorts in Politics. Today’s headline in the paper got me thinking; if Michael Dunkley does indeed switch parties what does that mean for the BDA and UBP? It would be a huge switch. For the BDA…. If this happens, it may just turn on the PLP spin machines again. However, there is no question they would see a little benefit from a political heavyweight like Michael Dunkley. For the UBP…. Could be a good week for the BDA? Who really gives a shit?
