http://bellevueinfantschool.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 16 July 2014. On Tuesday 15th July 2014 we had a special visit from a string quartet. The musicians played violins. It was interesting to hear how the sound became deeper as the instrument became larger. We learnt about 'The Four Seasons' by Vivaldi. They taught us about dynamics in music. We learnt that. Means to play music loudly, and. Means to play quietly. The quartet played us several pieces of music. They were incredibly talented and we were amazed by their performance. 169; 2007 Belle V...

http://bellevueinfantschool.blogspot.com/2014/12/autumn-term.html
Thursday, 4 December 2014. We have now fully settled into Year One and have been doing lots of exciting things during the Autumn term. In October we went outside and made dens as part of our materials topic for science. We used different materials, such as the fallen leaves and sticks, fabric, plastic and even tin foil! After building the dens we tested them to see which material was the strongest, safest and most waterproof . Which material do you think made the best den? Belle Vue Infant School.

Wednesday, 12 February 2014. This half term our topic has been In. We had fun dressing up as people who lived in castles - there were Kings, Queens, Guards, Knights and even a dragon! In History we have learnt about castles. We really enjoyed building our own castle that was big enough to fit everyone inside! We had to work as a team, thinking about the parts of the castle and planning how to make it strong and well defended. Belle Vue Infant School. Tuesday, 11 February 2014. Year 2 Football Tournament.

We worked as a team to build a castle big enough for us to fit inside. Our visit to Windsor castle made us realise just how ENORMOUS castles are! We enjoyed the workshop where we got to dress up in a range of costumes and reenact castle invasions, and special cermonies such as awarding a knighthood. To manipulate the clay into different shapes.

http://bellevueinfantschool.blogspot.com/2015/03/out-of-this-world.html
Wednesday, 25 March 2015. Out of This World. Our trip to INTECH. Last week Year 1 went on an exciting trip to the science centre in Winchester. There were lots of things to explore and find out about. There was a fitness area where we discovered how high we could jump, how fast we could run and how quickly we could row a boat! We were even able to make our own tornado in a special machine. We had to get the amount of moisture and wind just right. Belle Vue Infant School. Subscribe in a reader.

Thursday, 22 May 2014. Year 2 at Marwell Zoo. Despite the rain we had lots of fun at Marwell Zoo. For our 'On Safari' topic we wanted to find out more about animals that live in Africa. During the day we visited the giraffe house, the leapord enclosure and the meerkat mound. We had to look really hard to spot the cheetah but we had no trouble finding the rhinos.
