Along with great sporting occasions like the World Cup finals in Germany, the Much Wenlock Olympics took place last weekend with three members of Newport and District Running Club diversifying and taking part in the triathlon. Starting with a 500 metre swim in the pool at Bridgnorth, competitors then had to cycle around 12 miles on the hilly back road to Much Wenlock before running 4 miles cross country to finish the event.
