The selection of the stipend is carried out by the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education to those students who apply for them based on the recommendation of the Township Peace and Development Council. Around 40-50 first year students are awarded 1000 kyats per month till graduation. Five per cent of the total first year students is awarded for free tuition till graduation. 4 Htun Foundation Scholarship. Awarded 30000 kyats per year to ten outstanding and poor students.

The library was established in 1924, the same time as the university. It became a depository library of FAO in 1999 and it has received a copy of every FAO publication free of charge since then. The library serves as a technical library and its collection are focused on resources for agricultural and related subjects. It holds research and term papers, dissertation, journals, CD-ROMs and others. The library opens throughout the year for the staff and students of the Agricultural University .
