Saturday, March 6, 2010. Today is Carson's due date! Instead of anticipating the arrival our little peanut we spent the day with our little peanut. He will be five weeks old on Sunday. He is now 8 lbs 2 oz and because of his fabulous weight gain, we do not have to go back to the pediatrician until his 2 month visit. Friday, July 24, 2009. Happy 9-month Birthday, Roxy! I have been remiss in posting this July! When we went on our vacation I decided that when I got back I was going to try not to pack my calendar so full but, low and behold, here it is, July 24th, and I have only done two posts this month. Sunday, October 20, 2013. Makenna’s 4th Birthday. This afternoon Holden and I went to his friend Makenna’s 4th birthday party. The party was held at a pottery painting place by our house. It was such a fun idea and I have always wanted to take Holden here to paint. This was a great way to see if Holden would like it or not. . Thursday, July 31, 2014. One of the challenges of summer is finding things to do to entertain your kiddos. I actually like this challenge. I love doing new things with Holden and spending time together exploring our city. A few weeks ago we went to The Houston Health Museum. It is free on Thursdays so that's when we decided to go. We had fun but I felt like we went through it really fast. Luckily the Houston Fire Department showed up to give a presentation. They talked about fire safety.

Sunday, September 14, 2014. We Have a Kindergartener! Holden started Kindergarten a few weeks ago. It's crazy to think that Garth and I are now parents of a child old enough to go to an elementary school. I feel like we are finally in a good routine and Holden is learning how to behave as a Kindergartener. Thursday, November 13, 2014. Blogging has changed a lot for me. I find as Holden gets older and we get busier it just seems to not be a priority. I do want to keep blogging the "main" events of our lives. If I don't, I am afraid they will go undocumented and that would be a shame. This was the first season Holden played soccer. We played it through the YMCA and overall it was a great experience. I think Holden made a lot of progress. It was good exercise for sure! What a fun group!

Thursday, July 31, 2014. Holden turned five on Monday. Celebrating this sweet boy's birthday is always so fun. We had his party on Saturday at Chickfila and it was by far the easiest on me birthday we've had. The kids had a blast, everyone got fed and Chickfila took care of everything. I got his cake at Target. They always do a great job! Holden's friends. From left to right Jackson, Holden, Dominick and William. Ellie is a photo bomber. The kids loved their meals! After cake the kids played a bit longer.

Monday, August 31, 2009. A baby shower for Colton and Misty. A few weeks ago, on August 22nd, my friend Lynda and I hosted a baby shower for one of our best friends, Misty, and her soon-to-arrive baby boy, Colton. Colton is due October 8th and we are all just dying to meet him! Lynda and I had a great time coming up with the theme of the shower and creating a menu. It is so much fun to plan a baby shower!
