Newstead is a delightful township located on the Loddon river, approximately 90 minutes from Melbourne and 15 minutes from Castlemaine. Small enough to have a tonne of country charm, Newstead is large enough to boast good country shops including grocer, butcher, general store, baker, antiques and 2 cafes. The township also claims a children's play ground, swimming pool, many lovely picnic spots and 2 pubs with character. And Newstead is the perfect home for a music festival.

The 2017 festival is planned to start on the afternoon of Australia Day, Thursday January 26th, and end late afternoon on Sunday 29th. Tickets will be on sale from August 1st. Performer expressions of interest will be open from June 1st to July 31st . In the quaint and historic country town of Newstead, near Castlemaine, Central Victoria - 90 minutes from Melbourne.
