Wednesday, 21 November 2012. 14' Strip plank canoe sheathing inside. I rolled the cloth out over the boat and cut it to length. Then I dropped it into the hull and tried to smooth it by pulling rather than brushing with my hand. I still got a couple of ripples in the finished item. This pic shows the weave that is visible after one coat of epoxy. The next 2 coats do hide this to an extent. Monday, 21 January 2013. Solo dinghy refurb' update 2. The weather here in the UK is pretty cold (for us) and working outside isn't much fun, but progress has been made. On the GRP hulled boats like this one you are allowed to add a wooden bead along the inside edge of the deck. That's next once the rubbing strakes are shaped up a bit more. Monday, 22 April 2013. 14' Strip plank canoe final update. At last the canoe is finished and ready for someone to enjoy. Although I must admit I really like it and it just. Fits inside my garage if I were to keep it! I took some pics and video clips to promote it and the YouTube video is below. If you're interested in owning this one check out the Boats For Sale page on the website. I went for a less fussy design on the decks. As they are shorter than previous canoes. Ready for her maiden voyage.

I've been recieving complaints. That I haven't updated my blog in a while. I have a good excuse - we haven't done ANYTHING worth talking about! We haven't gone to (and will not be going to) Vegas this year, we decided it was probably a better idea to update our house a little bit. We did, however go to a few Vikings games this year.including the playoff game last weekend where they destroyed the Cowboys.it was AMAZING!
