Tammy's Handmade Crochet: August 2006
http://tammyshandmadecrochet.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Crocheting is my favorite craft. I learned how to crochet from my grandmother when I was a little girl and I love it. Grandma crocheted edgings on hankies, so she taught me how to crochet with thread first! I made Barbie clothes. No patterns, grandma never had patterns, so I made my own designs. Then it was on to yarn and my first ripple afghan. I taught myself how to read patterns, and when I lived in Japan I taught myself how to read symbols. Wednesday, August 30, 2006. Acorn to Oak: October 2014

Growing Ideas into Something Grand - Fiber Arts - Cooking - Travel - Life. Thursday, October 30, 2014. Finally, A Chart. I found a little pattern on Ravelry this summer that I fell in love with. It's called " Half Lotus Bunting. It was a lot of work! But, so worth it because I'm thrilled to try to help others make this adorable bunting. And, I'm sure I'll be happy I took the time to chart and re-write it when I decide to make another one. I sure hope the designer doesn't mind that I did this. I love ...

Friday, May 17, 2013. This and That, and I Add Another Fiber Arts Superstar to My List. Wow, the last few weeks have been crazy. I have an uncomfortable feeling that the spun yarn may blend into the color of a fresh bruise, but I'll get around to spinning it pretty soon and we'll see. A dear friend gave me another knitting machine a few weeks ago - this one a bulky knitter which is now at Newton's. Getting a tune-up. Now I have the whole array of possible gauges. What fun! And you need to visit her site ...

Monday, March 25, 2013. A Home Museum and Mood! Last weekend the Saturday Spinners were invited to hold our March meeting at the home of Susie Henzie, who is pretty famous in the fiber arts community for her collection of spinning and weaving tools from all over the world. A small part of her collection was displayed at the Los Angeles County Fair a couple of years ago. Then Susie led us to the back of the house, where the major part of her collection is displayed in a three-story addition. Wow! After th...

Through The Yarny Curtain. Living in a Wonderland of Yarn. TKGA 2015: The Cherries on Top. July 29, 2015. I went to TKGA primarily for education, but I signed up for every event I possibly could. Since I was traveling all the way across the country to attend this Conference, I might as well do All The Things! But before I get to those events, I have to share this license plate, which Heather and I spotted in the hotel parking lot when we were on our way back from lunch on Thursday:. I also bought 4 ounce...
