Kings Hill Addick: January 2013
http://kingshilladdick.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
The thoughts of a Charlton fan living in The Garden of England. Monday, 28 January 2013. Charlton 1 - 2 Sheffield Wednesday. In the end Megson was sacked but by then I'd been to Hillsborough and seen us win by the one goal we defended like crazy. Sadly we lost, but what was worse was that it was a rubbish game. I thought for most of the game that we would be lucky to see either side score. In fact by half time I was totally convinced that it was going to finish 0-0. On reflection a substitution might hav...

Kings Hill Addick: June 2015
http://kingshilladdick.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
The thoughts of a Charlton fan living in The Garden of England. Monday, 22 June 2015. Clearly all clubs want to keep hold of their best talent, see Man United and Cristiano Ronaldo in 2009, especially if they are young, see Liverpool and Raheem Sterling, but inevitably when a player thinks there is a better opportunity elsewhere (and, invariably, it is about money) he tends to get his move. Joe's Agent has already been singled out by club employees as being, shall we say, pushy and demanding in when and ...

A Red Divided: January 2009
http://dividedred.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Friday, 16 January 2009. It's been a funny old week in the world of football. Benitez has seemingly lost the plot Keegan style, Manchester City have upgraded from an interest in Scott Parker to a £100 million offer for Kaka … and Charlton won a football game! Anyway, all in I am going for the following:. Elliot; Murty, Fortune, Hudson, Basey; Sam, Bailey, Spring, Soares; Shelvey; Gray. Randolph, Youga, Holland, Ambrose, Waghorn. A difficult game to call this one. My heart is saying a win for the Addi...

Kings Hill Addick: February 2015
http://kingshilladdick.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
The thoughts of a Charlton fan living in The Garden of England. Sunday, 1 February 2015. Charlton 1 - 1 Rotherham. I didn't go yesterday. I didn't have something else on - like a wedding or a party - I just didn't fancy it. It's the first time for over 30 years that I've chosen not to go to a home game. It wasn't something that I planned, and it wasn't a protest, I just woke up on Saturday morning and didn't want to watch us play. Anyway that's all water under the bridge. Talking of the bridges, miss...

A Red Divided: February 2009
http://dividedred.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Friday, 20 February 2009. Given the rarity of a win these days, I would be surprised to see any changes for tomorrow's game. Against Plymouth I thought the midfield looked a little unbalanced. Soares and Bailey didn't look particularly comfortable on their wings and Spring wasn't particularly effective down the middle. But then again both goals came from midfield, so what do I know! With this in mind, I see them starting as follows:. Randolph, Shelvey, Holland, Sam, Ambrose. Thursday, 12 February 2009.

A Red Divided: Hartlepool United Preview
http://dividedred.blogspot.com/2009/08/hartlepool-united-preview.html
Friday, 14 August 2009. It's long trip north tomorrow, for what is the second of three consecutive away fixtures. We head to Hartlepool after being relived of our league cup commitments following Tuesday's extra time loss at Hereford United, a result which appears to have been met with mild disappointment but ulitimately a certain sense of relief. This season is, after all, about getting of this division (at the right end I might add). To be honest, it's difficult to see him doing anything other than sti...

A Red Divided: December 2008
http://dividedred.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 30 December 2008. As we head into the final couple of days of the year, it's worth looking back on what has been a frankly rubbish year which has seen the club move from a position to return to the Premiership, to rock bottom of the Championship with League One football looking almost guaranteed for next season. So where to from here? So all things considered, 2008 will go down as an. Saturday, 27 December 2008. Thursday, 25 December 2008. And now onto my Christmas wish list. 3 points please boss.

Play-Off Symmetry | Chicago Addick
https://chicagoaddick.wordpress.com/2015/05/22/play-off-symmetry
The online home of Chicago Addick now residing in Bermuda. By ChicagoAddick on May 22, 2015. There’s a certain symmetry to the 3rd and 4th placed teams, 4th and 5th in League Two, reaching the play-off final, if you like the ‘two best teams’ after those already promoted. You can also add the Conference into that unusual statistic this season as well. There were big gulfs in the end of season points tally in all three divisions, especially League Two, and unusually true to form the ‘better’ si...League On...
