Life With My Boys. Sunday, January 03, 2010. Can I open my eyes yet? Is 2009 totally and completely gone? It's been a rough ride. One I wouldn't voluntarily repeat. But would I change it? It would be wonderful to think that we would have ended 2009 on the high we did without the lows. But I don't think it was possible. So I'll celebrate the growth. And the achievement of some of our long-term goals. But no one can blame me for a little bit of relief that it's over. I feel the SAME way about 2009!

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies. 1 cup butter, softened. 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 cup peanut butter for a very mild flavor. Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Charlotte turned 1. I can't believe it. My how time flies. Well it has flown the last few months. The first seven months were s.l.o.w. We sure are lucky to have her though. She is the sweetest little thing. Some fun things that she has done this year are (mostly so I have written them down and don't forget when they happened):. Crawled at nine months soon followed by walking along objects. She took her first step two days ago, it was very small but it was a step (August 22).

Life With My Boys. Wednesday, February 24, 2010. It's been much too long, I know. We're still alive and kicking. Adjusting to a new house, a new work schedule, and my growing, changing boys has been a bit much for me. I'm getting there. Slowly. Because they make me smile, I thought I'd share a few of my current favorite things. Edward has stopped saying "no." He says "I guess not." On occasions we'll even get an "I guess.yes." There's also "What chu talk'n 'bout! And the ever classic "I'm all fine.".

Life With My Boys. Wednesday, March 17, 2010. Today Edward said "Mom, you're too small for playground. You're too small.". Granted, the boy meant that I was too big and the playground too small. But it struck me that I haven't been too small for anything in quite some time. And that just seems weird. And I didn't stop! I'm a solid 5'3". Oddly enough, I'm still deficient.
