Carole's Thoughtful Spot: August 2012
http://www.carolesthoughtfulspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Summer is Coming to a Close. Our daughter bouncing on the Rave. On the one hand, I sure hate the heat of summer. On the other hand, I do love going to the cabin, and I know the time we are going to be able to spend there this year is dwindling. There are so many great things about having our own place as opposed to beach rentals. To travel anywhere else.) I love love love the Adirondacks, and I really like the area where our "regular" house is also. Monday, August 27, 2012.

It just happened to land on the screen on "pit road" and it was really funny as we watched it nearly get hit by the cars, lol. Speaking of NASCAR. Dear Dale Earnhardt Jr., PLEASE SHAVE OFF THE BEARD ALREADY! ALMOST TIME TO BE GOIN' TO THE CABIN. Posted by none other than Carole K. Labels: Thoughts too short.

http://www.carolesthoughtfulspot.com/2012/09/the-top-of-gore-with-no-snow.html
Tuesday, September 18, 2012. The Top of Gore with No Snow. We had some free tickets to ride the gondola to the top of Gore Mountain (known for it's fantastic skiing in the winter) this weekend. The views were amazing although it was reallllllllly cold and windy! I was very happy to ride the gondola back down, rather than try to imagine skiing down the steep slopes in the winter! I don't likes skiing. I would much rather sit in the lodge all day with a good book! Posted by none other than Carole K. View m...

Carole's Thoughtful Spot: I Hate IBM With A White Hot Inferno of Anger
http://www.carolesthoughtfulspot.com/2008/06/i-hate-ibm-with-white-hot-inferno-of.html
Monday, June 30, 2008. I Hate IBM With A White Hot Inferno of Anger. Well, let me tell ya, a few years later boy was I glad my Dad didn't work for IBM. That's when the first layoffs started. And they've continued ever since. When they'd have a layoff, it used to make the news. Now they lay people off so frequently it's hardly even noteworthy. Little by little all the good benefits and perks went away. And loyalty? My own DH was laid off from IBM too a few years back - TWICE! June 30, 2008 at 12:14 PM.
