http://bkcraftsandkeystones.blogspot.com/2013/02/our-mosaic-pathway-work-in-progress.html
Come join me on my crafting journey. Tuesday, 12 February 2013. Our Mosaic Pathway Work in Progress Part Two. We just finished off another section of our mosaic pathway, so I thought it was time for another update. We had to take a bit of a break from it over the winter, although Mr K has added a few sections since I last blogged about it. I thought today I would share a few do's and don'ts that we've learnt along the way. DON'T use quick set concrete mix! DO check the weather forecast. DO use your favou...

Come join me on my crafting journey. Tuesday, 2 July 2013. A Quilt for the Young Lad Part 2. You can read Part 1 here. Yes, I know it's been a long time.I've been busy, OK? Well, I like to plan my quilts too. But, while I'm working things don't always go to plan.at the time, this usually causes me more than a little frustration, but in the end it usually works out better than I had imagined. I'd meant for them to go anticlockwise, not clockwise! How could I have been so careless? There was a little seren...

http://katherineq.blogspot.com/2012/05/3-good-things-and-some-bad-news.html
Facebook, twitter, flickr. Monday, May 7, 2012. 3 good things and some bad news. I took these fish from above and used them to make the pattern below. I have been having so much fun the last week with pattern design. seeing patterns in everyday items like walnuts and feijoas and then doing lots and lots of drawing from these discoveries which is leading to some interesting stuff {see above pictures}. I recently purchased a Intuos5 tablet and I can see it's going to be a valuable tool in my studio practice.

I also love working in photoshop making {surface} patterns from my images. I think I can incorporate all of these things into my art work? July 29, 2012 at 9:56 PM. Your girls are adorable. Middot; Radenbrea Studios. Handmade Jewellery and Digital Art. Silk Ribbon Embroidery To Die For. Many, as in. Years ago, when I was a young mum, I used to love doing embroidery. Mostly cross stitch. I still have all the books I bought back then, with lovely patterns and pictures in them. I kept them thinking that when I retired I’d have all the time in the world to do such things. I was wrong. And how! And I kinda screwed my nose up at it. It didn’t appeal at all. And on Google Images. Lots of them are ...

Please don't laugh! - Radenbrea Studios
http://radenbrea.com/please-dont-laugh
Middot; Radenbrea Studios. Handmade Jewellery and Digital Art. Please don’t laugh! Is it all creative people, or is it just me with this problem? When I get the urge, the inspiration, whatever you want to call it, to try something – I have to do it. And being frustrated in that desire is really aggravating. Spotlight, here I come! I wanna go home and try it now, not order it and have to wait days for it to arrive! This needle broke under the pressure. Do you ever have that same driving force that says yo...
