The Tennessee Tombigbee Waterway is a manmade waterway that connects the Tennessee River to the Black Warrior-Tombigbee River system. The idea for the waterway was conceived of more than 100 years before its completion. More dirt was moved to create this waterway than was moved in the construction of the Panama Canal. Our great loop trip. October 14, 2016. Dry Fork Bay in Kentucky Lake. After spending a great time in Carbondale and Green Turtle Bay we headed out to do some anchoring in Kentucky Lake and hiking in Land Between the Lakes Recreation Area. Before flooding the area that would become Kentucky Lake cemeteries were moved to higher ground. There was a small cemetery located on this island in Ewes Bay. A few deer came to visit one evening. At this same anchorage we heard coyotes howling after dark. March 2, 2017.

Our great loop trip. November 28, 2016. Dolphins playing in our boat wake. After a couple of days in Fairhope we headed out on Mobile Bay and made our way to Orange Beach, AL. Some high winds were predicted so we pulled into a marina for a couple of days. After the weather had passed we headed to Florida! As soon has we got into Florida we had dolphins playing in our wake. Next Adventure Boating
We are boating on the Next Adventure, a 42 ft Kadey-Krogen trawler, docked in Anacortes, Washington. Monday, July 15, 2013. Parker Lake in Calif was a high altitude clear water lake and a wonderful hike. Sunday, June 16, 2013. Today only 7% of the original structures remain after 2 fires destroyed much of the town. Laws Railroad Museum, (Bishop, Ca) is preserving the memory of one of the last narrow gauge railroads. The buildings and artifacts are all originally from Bishop and the surrounding area.

Where does it go? We’ve all experienced the mystery of the missing sock in the wash. There are so many other things in life that we lose track of too, like time. Sometimes, don’t you find yourself asking. Where does it go? Well, let us not let that become a way of giving up, giving in and settling for. There seems to be nothing I can do about it. I don’t know about your house, but in mine, we not only have the sock-gone-missing phenomenon on a constant basis, but we seem to be able to lose anything.
