These works represent the various directions I've been playing around with lately, including a darker ambient style and techno (of all things). A few words about each piece:. They spent the following 40 years seeking out the artist's work and assembling the largest private collection of Dali's art in the world. At the moment, there is a wonderful exhibit on Dali and Film, and you can watch many of the films Dali was involved in, including. 3) Mary, Queen of the Universe Shrine. Light and Get Away.

I've worked for a long time with my friend, the composer Tim Risher, as part of Paragaté, a fluid group that Tim started in the late 1980s. Our thirty-year collaboration has been a big influence on me. Others threads are a lifetime of close listening to many kinds of music, and training in composition, piano, and chamber music. Posted by Tom DePlonty. In the late 1980s, I thought about writing a set of songs, or an oratorio, using words from William Blake's poem The Book of Urizen. Is Blake's version of The Fall, written in the voice of a prophet. I was never able to finish the piece, which was out of my reach for a lot of reasons.
