Sunday, 21 June 2015. There were times when we thought this day might not happen, as our son has been really ill for the last two years of his time at Aberdeen. But he hung in there and got his 2:1 in English and Creative Writing. He graduated with his girlfriend last Tuesday. They met on their second day of uni four years ago and have been together ever since. We had a lovely relaxed day, in warm sunshine, in the grounds of the ancient buildings. Friday, 29 May 2015. Today I'm joining in again with Amy.

Apologies for the strange spacing and layout of this post. I think Blogger is having a brain fade. It won't let me move things around so I've given up trying. 1 Pretty flowers from the garden centre. Inca having a Princess and the Pea moment, nicely settled on the sofa resting on THREE cushions! 3 This costume drama. Oh, I've loved watching Wolf Hall.

Glorious blue skies above the marshes on the River Dee this week. Making my morning 'power walk' so much nicer. Springtime in my garden. This time last year the garden was given a huge makeover,. So it's been lovely watching out for all the new plants emerging. Eating the best pizza ever at The Herb Garden with my daughter. On a quick trip up to Newcastle.

This blog should tell the story of what happens next after a lifetime of teaching . Two days into retirement and we were off for a few days in the Lake District. Start as you mean to go on! Glorious weather meant that a trip on the Keswick launch was a necessity. A walk up Catbells has long been on my 'to do' list. It was so hot we waited until the evening before setting off.
